Melanie is a Registered Social Worker (#4616) with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers and completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Regina in 2023. Melanie has a special interest in working with children who are experiencing the impact that high conflict separation and divorce has on children. She works with families toward positive co-parenting relationships where everyone involved benefits, especially the child.
Melanie understands the challenges young people face when caught in the middle of family conflict due to divorce and offers a compassionate and supportive approach tailored to their needs. She provides a safe space for children and teens to express their emotions, build resilience, and develop the tools they need to find their voice through divorce so they can be heard and seen.
Utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques, including solution-focused therapy, activity-based therapy tailored to the child or youth’s age and developmental stage, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, Melanie effectively supports children and youth ages 5-18. Her holistic approach ensures that each individual receives personalized care that fosters emotional growth and empowerment.
Dedicated to making a positive difference, Melanie empowers young people to navigate family transitions with confidence and resilience, helping them thrive even in the face of life’s challenges.
