Cindy McFadyen is a Registered Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (SKCP) and has Authorized Practice Endorsement which means she can provide psychological diagnoses for children and adolescents within her areas of practice. Cindy has more than 25 years of career experience as both a teacher and a psychologist. She obtained her Bachelor of Education degree in 1991 and completed a Master of Education Degree in Educational Psychology in 2001. Since then, she has gained knowledge and experience from working in education, health, and private practice settings. Cindy is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents and assisting their parents/caregivers and teachers through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with outside agencies and supports. She cares greatly about connecting with her clients and is empathic, respectful, client-centered, and strength-oriented. Cindy has training in a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. Cindy strives to provide individualized assessments that will increase understanding about your child or adolescent and result in helpful and practical evidence-based interventions.
