FAQ
How do I get started?
The therapy process begins with an initial assessment appointment. During that appointment we will discuss your concerns and answer all your questions. You can decide if you want to go ahead with follow-up sessions, and we can talk about what those would look like. You can book this initial assessment by emailing, calling, or using our online booking site.
How do I book a psychological assessment?
The first step for a psychological assessment is to contact Dragonfly. From there, we can walk you through the next steps. You can also check out our psychological assessment information page for more information on the process and costs involved in a psyhological assessment.
Should I bring my child or teen to the initial therapy appointment?
We always recommend a parent-only initial appointment for younger children (usually those under twelve). Youth twelve and over usually attend their initial appointment along with parents, however if you think a parent-only initial session might be beneficial you can choose to start with that.
What if I have a complex situation and need to ask questions before booking?
We are always happy to talk through your questions or concerns. You are welcome to give us a call or contact us by email. For your convenience, we also have the option of scheduling a phone consult.
Do you see adults?
Yes! We enjoy working with individuals of all ages. Every clinician on our team is able to work with adults.

Do you have any options for a family with financial barriers?
Yes! Dragonfly is a nonprofit organization and we offer programs to make mental health care more accessible to children, youth and families. Learn more about these programs on our group programs and Fly Therapy pages.
