Cindy McFadyen, M.Ed.

Registered Psychologist

Cindy McFadyen is a Registered Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (SKCP) and holds an Authorized Practice Endorsement, allowing her to provide psychological diagnoses for children and adolescents within her areas of practice.

Cindy brings more than 25 years of experience as both a teacher and psychologist. She completed her Bachelor of Education degree in 1991 and later earned her Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology in 2001. Throughout her career, Cindy has worked in education, healthcare, and private practice settings, giving her a unique understanding of both learning and mental health challenges in children and adolescents.

Cindy is especially valued for her ability to complete comprehensive, thoughtful assessments that help families clearly understand their child’s strengths, needs, and learning profile. Her background in both education and mental health allows her to look at the “whole picture,” including emotional, behavioural, developmental, and academic factors. Families often appreciate Cindy’s warm, approachable style and her ability to explain complex concepts in ways that feel practical, supportive, and easy to understand.

In addition to assessment work, Cindy has training in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Collaborative Problem Solving, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. While Cindy’s primary role at Dragonfly is psychological assessment, she may also provide follow-up therapeutic support related to assessment recommendations when appropriate.

Cindy is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, parents, caregivers, and educators through collaborative, evidence-based care that helps young people better understand themselves and succeed both emotionally and academically.
